Classification of Pipeline Trenchless Technology

Trenchless technology can be divided into three categories: laying new pipelines, repairing and replacing old pipelines, and detecting the original pipeline network.

1. Construction techniques for laying new pipelines: shield method, pipe jacking method, pilot / directional drilling pipe laying method, pneumatic spear pipe laying method, tamped pipe laying method and micro tunnel pipe laying method. Among them, the top pipe method is the earliest.

2. Repair old pipeline construction technology: in-situ curing method, in-situ tube replacement method, sliding interpolation method, deformation regeneration method, local repair method, etc.

3. Detection of underground pipeline networks: underground pipeline detectors, water supply pipeline network monitors, telecommunication line fault locators, gas fault detectors, pipeline cameras, ground penetrating radar, sonar series, etc.
