Precautions for maintenance of stainless steel elbow

Stainless steel elbows will not produce erosion, pitting, corrosion or wear. Stainless steel is still one of the building metal materials. Because stainless steel has good corrosion resistance, it can effectively maintain the integrity of engineering design of structural components. Chromium containing stainless steel elbow also integrates mechanical strength and high extensibility, which is easy to process and manufacture parts, and can meet the needs of architects and structural designers. All metals react with oxygen in the atmosphere to form an oxide film on the surface. Unfortunately, the iron oxide formed on ordinary carbon steel continues to oxidize, expanding the corrosion and forming holes. Paint or oxidation resistant metal can be used (for example, zinc, nickel and chromium) are electroplated to the surface of carbon steel. However, as people know, this protection is only a thin film. In addition, after pushing the head, the outer diameter of the front end is generally large and needs to be carried out through the die. The whole die is actually a press, with a set of dies, two semi-circular arcs, one at the top and one at the bottom. The outer diameter of the finished product meets the dimensional requirements of the finished product. The wall thickness controls the wall thickness of the material. The wall thickness tolerance of elbow and pipe is the same, which is ± 12.5%. In addition to chromium, the commonly used alloy elements include nickel, molybdenum, titanium, niobium, copper, nitrogen, etc. to meet the requirements of various uses for the structure and function of stainless steel elbow.

There are many problems in the use and maintenance of stainless steel elbow, which needs users to use it in a correct way, and use and maintain it in an accurate and fair way. Consider the following:

1. The long-term storage of stainless steel elbows shall be checked in time, the exposed surface shall be kept clean, the dirt shall be removed, and they shall be stored neatly in a ventilated and dry place indoors. It is strictly prohibited to stack or store in the open air. The stainless steel elbow shall be kept dry and breathable, the cage shall be clean and tidy, and shall be stored according to accurate storage methods.

2. During installation, the stainless steel elbow can be directly installed on the pipeline according to the connection mode, and the stainless steel elbow can be installed according to the use position. Generally, it can be installed anywhere in the pipeline, but it shall be easy to operate and check. It shall be noted that the medium flow of the stainless steel elbow shall flow through the longitudinal disc, and the stainless steel elbow can only be installed horizontally. Pay attention to sealing when installing stainless steel elbow to prevent leakage and affect the normal operation of pipeline.

3. When stainless steel elbow ball valve, stop valve and gate valve are used, they only need to be opened or closed, and the flow shall not be adjusted to avoid the wear of sealing surface. The gate valve and upper threaded stop valve are equipped with inverted sealing device, and the hand wheel is fastened on the top to prevent the leakage of medium from the filling point.

4. Use hand wheel to make stainless steel elbow. Do not use levers or other tools to avoid damaging valve components. The handwheel rotates clockwise to close, and vice versa. Son, we should use it fairly and correctly.

5. The bolts of the stainless steel elbow valve packing cover shall be tightened evenly and shall not be pressed into a bending state, so as not to interfere with the movement of the valve stem or cause leakage.

6. The stainless steel elbow shall be kept clean during use, and the transmission thread shall be lubricated in time. Once a fault is found, it shall be stopped immediately and the cause of the fault shall be found out.
