Spiral steel pipes can be divided into several categories according to their uses

There are roughly four categories of spiral steel pipes according to their uses: spiral steel pipes for drainage, spiral steel pipes for dredging, spiral steel pipes for piling, and spiral steel pipes for oil and gas.

Spiral steel pipe for drainage
Materials of spiral steel pipes for drainage: Q235A, Q23b, 0Cr13, 1Cr17, 00Cr19Ni11, 1Cr18Ni9, 0Cr18Ni11Nb, Q345, L245, L290, X42, X46, X70, X80. The spiral steel pipe for drainage adopts double-sided submerged arc welding technology. The weld is in a spiral shape. The general diameter of spiral steel pipes for drainage is above dn500. They are suitable for use in water supply projects, the petrochemical industry, the chemical industry, the electric power industry, agricultural irrigation, and urban construction. They are used for liquid transportation: water supply and drainage. For gas transportation: coal gas, steam, liquefied petroleum gas. The pipe body can be treated with insulation box anti-corrosion.

Dredging Spiral Steel Pipe
Dredging steel pipe is an excellent steel pipe product among steel pipe products and is widely used and used in different industries. The production process of dredging steel pipes has extremely strict production standards. It can be processed and produced using certain process methods and means. It uses raw materials with reliable quality in production and production and can show important performance in production and use. And function, it can fully demonstrate good performance advantages and exert certain reliable performance and value in certain market industries.

Piling spiral steel pipe
Piling spiral steel pipe (SY5040-2000) is made of hot-rolled steel strip coils as pipe blanks, often heated to a spiral shape, and made by double-sided submerged arc welding or high-frequency welding. It is used for foundation piles of civil construction structures, docks, bridges, etc. Use steel pipe. The main reference standard is SY/T5040-2008 (spiral welded steel pipe for piles). Main specifications: pipe diameter range: diameter 325mm-2400mm, wall thickness range 8-60mm, length range 6-12m. The piling spiral pipe is a spiral seam steel pipe made of strip steel coil plate as raw material, extruded at regular temperature, and welded by automatic double-wire double-sided submerged arc welding process.
(1) The raw materials are steel strip coil, welding wire, and flux. They must undergo strict physical and chemical inspections before being put into use.
(2) For the head-to-tail butt joint of the steel strip, single-wire or double-wire submerged arc welding is used, and automatic submerged arc welding is used for repair welding after being rolled into a steel pipe.
(3) Before forming, the strip steel undergoes leveling, trimming, planing, surface cleaning, transportation, and pre-bending.
(4) Electric contact pressure gauges are used to control the pressure of the cylinders on both sides of the conveyor to ensure smooth conveying of the strip.
(5) Adopt external control or internal control roller forming.
(6) A weld gap control device is used to ensure that the weld gap meets the welding requirements. The pipe diameter, offset amount, and weld gap are strictly controlled.
(7) Both internal and external welding use American Lincoln welding machines for single-wire or double-wire submerged arc welding to obtain stable welding quality.
(8) All completed welds have been inspected by an online continuous ultrasonic automatic flaw detector, ensuring 100% non-destructive testing coverage of spiral welds. If there is a defect, it will automatically alarm and spray mark, so that production workers can adjust the process parameters at any time to eliminate defects in time.
(9) Use an air plasma cutting machine to cut the steel pipe into individual pieces.
(10) After being cut into individual steel pipes, each batch of steel pipes must undergo a strict first inspection system to check the mechanical properties, chemical composition, fusion status of the welds, the surface quality of the steel pipes, and non-destructive testing to ensure that the pipe making process is qualified. Only then can it be officially put into production.
(11) The areas with continuous sonic flaw detection marks on the welds will undergo manual ultrasonic and X-ray re-examination. If there are indeed defects, they will be repaired and then undergo non-destructive inspection again until it is confirmed that the defects have been eliminated.
(12) The steel strip butt welds and the pipes where the T-shaped joints intersect with the spiral welds are all inspected by X-ray television or film.
(13) Each steel pipe has been tested by hydrostatic pressure, and the pressure is radially sealed. The test pressure and time are strictly controlled by the steel pipe water pressure microcomputer detection device. Test parameters are automatically printed and recorded.
(14) The pipe end is machined to accurately control the end face verticality, bevel angle, and blunt edge.

Oil and gas spiral steel pipe
Oil and gas spiral steel pipes are made of steel strips that are bent and then welded. Steel pipes need to undergo hydraulic pressure, bending, flattening, and other experiments, and have certain requirements for surface quality. The delivery length is usually 12 meters, and delivery to a fixed length is often required. Oil and gas spiral steel pipes are widely used in petroleum and natural gas industries, chemical industries, fluid transmission pipelines, bridge piling, infrastructure projects steel structures, etc.
