Causes of trachoma in welds of spiral submerged arc welded steel pipes

Spiral steel pipe is made of strip steel that is bent in a spiral direction through a rolling machine and then welded by capacitor double-sided submerged arc welding. During the welding production process of spiral steel pipes, many galvanized channel steel problems such as missed welds and misaligned edges are prone to occur. However, the most difficult to control in these situations is the occurrence of trachoma in the butt weld of spiral steel pipe.

Spiral seam submerged arc welded steel pipe manufacturers analyze the causes of trachoma as follows:
1. The current supplied to the welding gun during the welding process is too small, and the capacitor time is too short. When the capacitor is not completely welded, the welding surface has hardened, so there are sand or bubbles inside that have not been completely welded.
2. When the strips entered the machete-shaped adjustment arc, they were not butt-jointed properly. The strips were not butt-jointed tightly, and there was an excessively large gap between the butt-joined strips.
3. When butt welding the strips, the rust or oxide scale on both sides of the strips was not cleaned in time.
4. Production equipment is not maintained and maintained in time. The dust or dirt on the workbench accidentally falls into the welding gap of the butt strip steel.
5. The temperature in the operation workshop is too low or too humid, which affects the temperature and dryness of the welding points.
