Consequences of seamless steel pipe friction

In the plastic deformation process of seamless steel pipe, the presence of friction is very negative and harmful consequences arising mainly as follows:

1) the presence of the steel pipe to change the distribution of frictional force when deformed, thereby causing the uneven distribution of stress-strain Zhuang and generate additional stress appears in the residual deformation.

2) to increase the deformation resistance of the metal, while increasing the energy consumption during deformation.

3) the surface temperature of the steel pipe will increase the friction of the tool, thereby reducing the strength of the tool, in addition to tool wear due to friction, the greater the coefficient of friction, the greater the degree of wear also.
