Extruded pipe

Extruding pipe is the cold extrusion, hot extrusion, respectively of the warm extrusion process of pipes.

Extrusion is widely used in the production of aluminum, copper and other nonferrous metals pipes and profiles. Steel used to produce both hot extrusion of special pipes and profiles, but also for the production of hard cold or warm extrusion extruded solid and pore heart (through hole or blind hole) of carbon and alloy steel parts, such as the head having a thick rod, barrel and containers. The mid-20th century, the beginning of the cold extrusion technology for carbon steel and alloy steel parts, such as rods and rod-shaped pieces of various cross-sectional shapes, piston pin, wrench socket, spur gear, etc., and later for squeeze some high-carbon steel, bearing steel and stainless steel. High precision cold extrusion, surface finish, can be directly used by the parts without cutting or other finishing. Simple cold extrusion operation, suitable for mass production of small parts (steel extrusions generally not more than 100 mm in diameter).

Extrusion is an intermediate temperature between the cold extrusion process between the hot extrusion, under appropriate circumstances can have both warm extrusion using the advantages of both. But warm extrusion billet and preheat the mold needs to be heated, high-temperature lubrication is still not ideal, shorter tool life, so not very widespread application.

Extrusion billet processed in extrusion passes, squeeze pressure, die life and extrusion equipment in accordance with the requirements of extrusion billets and have some different characteristics workmanship. When cold extrusion of hard aluminum, copper and steel, to reduce the hardness of the material, plastic deformation resistance and improve, you need to soften the blank annealing treatment. Hot extrusion is not required after annealing.
